Spring Break- urgent care

At, CareXpress Urgent Care, next week is a time many students in the Amarillo, Texas area looking forward to as they will get to be out of school! Spring break is a great time to have fun, but safety should be in mind when planning your activities. In part one of this series our we provided you with 3 safety tips to maintain that your spring break is enjoyable without a trip to the urgent care. Today, in part two of this series, we will provide you with some more spring break safety tips.

Here are two things you can do to maintain the safety of you and others this coming spring break (March 13th-17th):

1.) Watch Your Alcohol Intake: Making this spring break memorable can be done without impairing your mind and body. If drinking alcohol is part of your plan this spring break, remember to limit the number of drinks you have, for safety reasons. Not only is it possible to get alcohol poisoning, but you could get into an accident, harming yourself and, possibly, others. That’s not something you want to remember for the rest of your life.

2.) Be Careful If Being Active: If you have opted to do some high-risk activity this spring break that you aren’t used to doing (ex: bungee jumping, rock climbing, or other extreme sports), just be cautious. Make sure that you follow all safety rules and wear appropriate safety gear for the activity you have chosen.

Our urgent care team is happy to bring you safety tips so that you can avoid a costly visit to the urgent care. We hope that you will watch your alcohol intake and be careful while being active this spring break. We wish everyone a happy spring break!

CareXpress Urgent Care’s Safety Tips For Spring Break: Part 1

Enjoy Your Break Without A Trip To An Urgent Care

Spring Break- urgent care

At, CareXpress Urgent Care, we know that many students in the Amarillo, Texas area are ready to enjoy their freedom from school thanks to spring break. We also believe that some people out there may (even if unintentionally) be planning something unsafe. While we would be honored to treat your family at our urgent care facility if need be, we would rather you put safety first. Today, in part one of this series, we will provide you with a few spring break safety tips so that you can enjoy your break without a trip to an urgent care.

Here are a few things you can do to maintain the safety of you and others this coming spring break (March 13th-17th):

1.) Drive Extra Careful: No matter where you go this spring break, you should focus on driving safely. There are bound to be children outside playing and this means you should keep a watchful eye out, because not all children will stick to the safety rules like staying out of the street or remembering to look both ways before crossing the street.

2.) Wear Plenty Of Sunscreen: This is something many people neglect to do, because the springtime weather doesn’t make them believe they will get a sunburn. It may be only March, but people can get a sunburn at any time of the year. So if you plan to spend a lot of time outdoors, don’t forget to slap on that sunscreen to yourself and your kids!

3.) Devise A Home Safety Plan: Some parents may be leaving their older children at home alone during this spring break, because they still have to work. If this is the case for your family, it may be a good idea to go over your home safety rules like the fire escape routes, when and how to call 911, and tell them about stranger danger.

Our urgent care team is happy to bring you safety tips so that you can avoid a costly visit to the urgent care. We hope that you will drive safely, wear sunscreen, and practice home safety this spring break. Have fun, everyone!
